Along the road

To-be spiritual creatures

Ideally, the first thing crosses your mind while thinking of an Ashram is the spirituality, the peacefulness and the kind welcoming warm people who devote their lives to “this” -whatever “this” is.

But as always, the ideal is not realistic, as you don’t get this impression there.

If you take a little pause, standstill from a distance and observe the people working and living in the ashram you will notice magical phenomena called: different but united colours of the Ashram staff.

Despite their ethnic diversity and original skin tone, they all share the pale face, as in undernourished, sleep-deprived, lacking strength and knows little happiness type of pale face, many of them have junkies eyes without the junk itself (maybe spiritual junk), few of them looked angry or in a bad mood the whole period I stayed there.

Swamis, gods in Orange, cool isn’t it? how often do you see a god wearing Orange?

The most important of all, they all seem to have forgotten how to smile and laugh.

oh, and the dog, the first-ever vegetarian dog I have seen… he is pale too, lacking energy and brightness… he is old too.

This is how they look from a distance when you are standing still, but if you come closer does the picture still holds?

The curious girl inside me made the move to uncover the human under the spiritual colours of yellow and Orang, and I just followed.
